”Gamlebua” er Vest-Agders eldste trebygning, fra 1530.

Den er 100 år eldre enn gården, og ble flyttet hit i 1747 av regimentsmed Tron Hoskuldson som da eide gården.

Han fikk flyttet Gamlebua hit fra østsiden av Sirdalsvannet. Det er mye å fortelle om Tron Hoskuldson og mange spor etter ham her på gården og ellers i området.

“Gamlebua” is Vest-Agder County’s oldest wooden building, erected in 1530. Approximately 100 years older than the farm, it was moved here in 1747 by regiment blacksmith Tron Hoskuldson, who at that time owned the farm.

He organised the moving of Gamlebua from the east side of Sirdalsvannet Lake. There are plenty of stories surrounding Tron Hoskuldson’s person, and he has left quite a trace on both the farm and in the nearby area.
